Dr. Kifer
As both a performer and educator, I believe music has the power to shape a young person’s confidence, discipline, and joy. I’m Dr. Shelby Kifer, and I specialize in teaching trombone, euphonium, and tuba to students here in Tulsa. My goal is to create lessons that are not only productive, but also enjoyable—where students feel supported, challenged, and proud of their progress.
I understand that every student is unique. Some are preparing for honor band auditions, others are working on their first few notes, and some just want to have fun making music. I meet each student where they are, giving them the tools, techniques, and encouragement they need to succeed at their own pace.
Parents often tell me they appreciate my clear communication, patience, and the way I help students set and reach meaningful goals. Whether your child is just beginning their musical journey or ready to take their playing to the next level, I’m here to help them build the skills and confidence that will last long after the lesson ends.
